Keitha

Keitha Campeau
Artistic Director
 

Born and raised in Vancouver, Keitha studied ballet for many years at the Kirkwood Academy of Performing Arts. She was a soloist in the Royal City Youth Ballet Company, and performed many principal roles in ballet’s such as Nutcracker, Coppelia and Cinderella. Keitha has been a principal teacher with Royal City Youth Ballet since 2013.

Keitha is also a classically trained singer with years of experience as a performer and teacher. She completed a two year classical voice program at Capilano University under the tutelage of Arlene McIntyre, and received her A.R.C.T. (associate to the Royal Conservatory of Music) with distinction. Keitha was a finalist in. many competitions at the local and provincial levels. She had the privilege of performing in “Brigadoon” and “Guys and Dolls” with Royal City Musical Theatre, and In “Patience” with the North Shore Light Opera.

In 2009, Keitha opened the Northwest Academy of Performing Arts in New Westminster, B.C. She was the owner/Director of the studio, and head of the musical theatre program from 2009-2019.

In addition to her role with Royal City Youth Ballet, Keitha teaches R.A.D. ballet at several local studios, and teaches private voice lessons at her home in West Vancouver

Sarah

Sarah Sankovic ARAD, RAD, RTS
Associate Artistic Director

Sarah is a Vancouver trained dancer, as a student she successfully completed all her Royal Academy of Dance exams including Advanced 2 earning her Associate with the R.A.D. and levels 1-3 in both Classical and Character of the Dance Education Syllabus. As well as classical ballet she has been trained in contemporary, lyrical and jazz.

Her training has also included working with many international guest teachers at various workshops, Royal Winnipeg Ballet School, the Alberta Ballet School of Dance, and soloist with Royal City Youth Ballet. 

Sarah’s professional credits include touring and performing with the Alberta Ballet Company and Ballet BC’s mentor program. 

Sarah has been an R.A.D certified teacher since 2002 completing the 3 year teacher training program through R.A.D. and awarded a mark of Distinction. She has been a mentor for the RAD’s teacher program helping train new RAD teachers. Sarah has completed Pilates teacher training to receive her Pilates Mat certification, as well as Progressing Ballet Technique workshop and is now certified to teach the program. 

Sarah is now part of the Artistic Staff for Royal City Youth Ballet and rehearsal mistress for their full length production of The Nutcracker.
